The two-hour action-adventure film was released in Australia on 14th May 2015 and narrates an intriguing story. It follows the tale of two rebels, one escaping sorrow and another expecting the solidity of her childhood, who become the only hope of survival for the few among them on earth that is devastated totally. The $154.6–185.1 million budget of the film reflects its epic proportion while the success provided the way forward for the sequel named Mad Max: The Wasteland and a prequel titled "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga." Distributed by Warner Bros., Warner Bros. Pictures, Roadshow Entertainment, and Film Compagniet present "Mad Max: Fury Road," an event in movie action where compelling characters are matched with astounding, explosive action pieces, set against the visually totally arresting panorama of a world teetering on the edge of total collapse.

The movie takes place in a wasteland of near-barren resources and virtually none of the rule of law exists. Dressed in his black leather jacket, the lead character, Max Rockatansky-played by Tom Hardy-is being haunted by the dark and turbulent times of his past. Captured by the tyrannical warlord now called Immortan Joe, played by Hugh Keays-Byrne, Max is enslaved to become a "blood bag" for Joe's ailing War Boy, Nux, played by Nicholas Hoult.Furiosa is one of Immortan Joe's trusted Imperators who makes a bold escape from Joe's Citadel, taking with her a high value commodity-five women, all wives, including the pregnant Splendid, played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. These women are owned by Joe, and Furiosa's defiance inspires nothing less than an unrelenting chase.

Max is captive at the film's outset but escapes after a series of events; he then reluctantly joins forces with Furiosa. The two forge a further uneasy alliance with Nux, who goes from being a die-hard follower of Immortan Joe to a half-ally in pursuit of redemption.Next, the relentless chase ensues across a desolate wasteland in an imposing, heavily modified War Rig. Incensed at the betrayal, Immortan Joe orders his army of War Boys to pursue Furiosa and reclaim the Wives. The War Rig would be the battleground of an intense vehicle fight and creative weaponry. Along the way, Max and Furiosa encounter a flurry of complications through fractions such as the Bullet Farm and Gas Town. The Wives, who were initially regarded as Joe's property, come into their own and join the search in pursuit of a promised "Green Place," a utopian tract of land Furiosa recalls from her childhood.

Survival, redemption, and a fight for freedom become the broad themes in which the story can be encapsulated in this crazy world. His troubled past gets unraveled little by little through haunting visions and flashbacks. In the climax of this story, when the protagonists decide to bring a showdown to Immortan Joe's Citadel, tension builds toward a high point. The Citadel, a formidable fortress, becomes a battleground for an incredibly fierce, chaotic confrontation against Joe and his War Boys. Free from being prisoned, the Wives now fully owned their agency and thus participated very actively in the struggle for liberation. Furiosa and Max join with Nux in a mutual determination to surmount the overwhelming odds with the Wives. The vehicular war, long a trademark of the film, heightens the intensity of the battle. The War Rig now becomes an apocalyptic symbol of resistance and a key element in the fight for freedom.

Immortan Joe, feeling that power will soon be dragged right out of his hands, gets desperate in his attempt to hold onto control. The visual storytelling and practical effects make this sequence a must-watch for thrilling and innovative action scenes. As the confrontation reaches its peak, each character faces his or her personal demons. Max has his past haunting him, and through his actions, he seeks a sort of redemption. Furiosa finds her redemption from the wrongs of her past to become the strongest leader. Nux is the one who has changed from being a devoted follower of Immortan Joe to one who fights alongside others for a better future.

It comes with the defeat of Immortan Joe. The Citadel, once an oppressive icon, has totally flipped in the direction of the power struggle, and the characters, who have grown closer through all this mayhem, set a foundation for a new beginning. Free at last, the Wives help shape a future promising them freedom and justice.
