All Saints' Weekend - Grey Skies and Sunshine in Weather Forecast
This year, All Saints' Day falls on a Friday, and so many people in France decided to use it to enjoy the long weekend: resting or being with the family. The weather forecast, different in all the regions announces overcast skies for some and a sunny Sunday for others. What can you expect if you are in Seine-et-Marne, Lyon, or even Belgium over this extended weekend?.
Friday, November 1st: Grey and Chilly Start to the Weekend
Cold and overcast, All Saints' Day will hardly be above 13 °C in Seine-et-Marne. For those who will go to the cemeteries or take a walk in the forest, warm clothing will be a must. There won't be any beautiful blue sky; the sun, well hidden behind a thick veil of clouds, will hardly be seen at all.
We will be a few degrees above the seasonal normals, up to 18°C in Lyon, where the weather will indeed be milder; on the other hand, after a misty morning-afternoon with only partial sunbreaks and with fog back in the evening as temperatures drop back to around 10°C.
In Belgium, it will be grey, overcast skies with thick fog that can prevail all day long. The temperature will fluctuate between 8 and 13°C, without much sun. At night, and in the early morning, the low cloud will remain continuous, occasionally broken by isolated patches of fog, which will lower the temperature even more.
### Saturday, November 2nd: Limited Improvement in Some Areas
This Saturday, it will be a bit better during the evening over Seine-et-Marne. The sky remains overcast-the temperature will therefore range from 10°C in the morning to a high of 14°C in the afternoon-but there will be breaks of clear sky, particularly in the south around Nemours and Montereau, as well as in the north around Meaux and Chelles.
Temperatures fall back and grey skies return to Lyon. Behind Friday's sunshine, clouds roll back in; a slight cooling trend ensues. A cloudy Saturday is also in store over Belgium with light drizzle possible; some bright spells may appear in the north during the afternoon but will be short-lived.
Sunday, November 3rd: Sunny End of the Weekend for All
Sunday will conclude this weekend on a bright note for all regions. In Seine-et-Marne, the sun will be back in force throughout the department, with cool mornings, around 5°C in some areas such as Fontainebleau and Tousson. During the afternoon, the temperature rises to about 13°-the ideal moment for inhabitants to go out and enjoy the landscapes of autumn under a clear sky.
After a grey Saturday, the sun will be back in Lyon and will offer a perfect day to explore either the city or its surroundings. The sun will be out in Belgium too: it will be seasonal, with temperatures between 12 and 14°C in the afternoon. This nice weather should last until Tuesday; after that, the mist may well be back as early as Wednesday.
Whether it was Seine-et-Marne, Lyon, or Belgium, this All Saints' Day weekend has to be a special cocktail between autumn strolls and cozying up indoors. Find the sun where it is present, showing up its face, to brighten these autumn days!
