Alien: Romulus
The movie Alien: Romulus follows a team of young space colonists under the command of Rain Carradine, who search the stripped-out space station for what may lie in the depths of the now mysteriously empty station. The team was received by Rain, Andy, Tyler, Kay, and Bjorn, and it helps them with their rather dangerous quest for valuable resources to keep their dying colony afloat. Further on down these hauntingly strange hallways, they pass two labs: "Romulus" and "Remus." That is Roman mythology, referring to two brothers who founded Rome. They begin to be haunted by the unholy presence from the moment they step into the station. The echoes of peculiar noises, the moving shadows—which seem to move alone from room to room—start to fill the halls place after place. Soon, they realize that they are not on the station alone. The Hindenburg is overrun by Xenomorphs—the most horrifying life forms that ever existed. These never-stopping and deadly-accurate creatures under threat put to life missioners right in the time moment peril.
Rain, the resourceful and determined leader, is trying to keep an eye on the team as they make their way through the labyrinthine corridors of the space station. But the slaughter becomes more vicious with each passing moment and a member of the sentinels after another falls to the deadly attacks of the Xenomorphs. Now he's tasked with facing the knowledge that the laboratories had been used to perform sinister experiments, the creatures known as Xenomorphs. The experiments on how to harness the power of those creatures went terribly wrong; this is why the space station was finally abandoned.
If anything in learning about the station's grim past, it is the most shocking revelation: a sinister plan from the faction of rogues of the colony. If they were to succeed in somehow weaponizing the Xenomorph creatures, control over the colony would be most definitely assured. Now, this puts them in even more shafts of danger as The Overseer tries everything at her disposal to silence them. The film comes to a climax when Rain and the remaining members of the team make one desperate bid for survival—finding a way to the exit of the station and warning their colony of the plans of The Overseer. Action-horror is the winning component up to the last confrontation with the Xenomorphs, where Rain needs to outsmart it with the use of her other faculties besides wit and courage.
In the end, Rain finally manages to send the distress signal to their home colony about the treachery of The Overseer. The team manages a daring escape, yet with many casualties. The film ends with the return of Rain and the few survivors back to their colony, narrating their story to fight for their people against the threat that was upon them from the Overseer and the Xenomorphs.
