Ivan wakes up in Belogorie, a land straight out of Russian fairy tales, brimming with mythical creatures and legendary figures from Slavic folklore. Disoriented and confused, he's mistaken for the prophesied last warrior, destined to save Belogorie from a great evil. Ivan is torn between continuing his fraudulent ways and living up to the hero everyone believes he is.
In Belogorie, Ivan meets some unforgettable characters. Vasilisa the Wise is a strong and brave warrior princess who initially distrusts him but eventually becomes his close ally. Koschei the Deathless is an immortal being with a dark past, and Baba Yaga is the infamous witch who lives in a hut on chicken legs. Despite their quirks, these characters become Ivan's companions and friends. Their mission is to stop the resurrection of Gorynych, an ancient, evil sorcerer who once terrorized Belogorie. To prevent this disaster, they need to retrieve a powerful artifact. Their journey is filled with magical adventures, from battling mythical creatures to solving ancient puzzles. Ivan's modern-day knowledge and cunning come in handy, but he still struggles to adapt to this fantastical world.
As they travel together, Ivan starts to bond with his companions. Vasilisa teaches him about bravery and selflessness, while Baba Yaga and Koschei provide wisdom and comic relief. Ivan initially wants to return to Moscow, but he begins to see the value in staying to help Belogorie. The climax of the movie is a dramatic showdown at Gorynych's lair. The group faces off against the sorcerer in an epic battle. Ivan uses his modern-day tricks and newfound courage to play a crucial role in defeating Gorynych and securing the artifact, saving Belogorie from impending doom. In the end, Ivan decides to stay in Belogorie. He accepts his role as the last warrior, embracing his new life and the friends he’s made. The movie ends on a hopeful note, with Ivan looking forward to his future in this magical land.
